Youth 3.0: Smartphone and Internet include children´s everyday life

The study shows that young children approach the Internet through the use of media. Just over the half (56 percent) of 6 - to 7-year-old Internet users play games online. Almost as many (55 percent) watch videos on the Internet. Other forms of use play no significant role in this age group. In older adolescents, aged 16 to 18, media use is equal to communication and information. 85 percent watch videos online and 80 percent listen to music, 85 percent communicate via social networks and 76 percent chat with friends or relatives. At the same time, 83 percent use the Internet to search for information regarding school or education.
