On 21 January 2014, the "Bündnis Mediensucht Paderborn" welcomes all interested parties to the event "App into the media jungle - smartphones, tablets & co in everyday life". From 7p.m. onwards questions about an appropriate use of mobile information and communication technologies in family and work being addressed in keynote speeches and panel discussion. The "Bündnis Mediensucht Paderborn" is a network of different social services and initiatives in Paderborn, which has set itself the goal to support and advice children, adolescents, adults and their families on media associated disorders.
Topics of the event
Mobile media are ubiquitous in everyday work and family life. The development of smartphones and tablet PCs as well as the increasingly cost-effective mobile internet access mean that a large number of people is practically online around the clock nowadays. In some families this leads to scenarios in which the children and youth use their smartphones to continually communicate with peers. But the adult generation does not remain unaffected by the development. Many professionals call up their work e-mails after working time, on weekends, or even on vacation and are always reachable. The discussion about such a development is led increasingly critical of social and educational perspective.
In many families but also in organisations issues after a reasonable use of mobile information and communication technologies will be discussed. The keynote presentations and the following panel discussion will give suggestions and guidance for family- and professional life. The speakers will be Dr. Paula Bleckmann and Prof. Dr. Stefan Aufenanger et al.
The event starts at 21 January 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Heinz Nixdorf Forum Paderborn. Admission is free. More information can be found on the website of the "Bündnis Mediensucht Paderborn" and on the events flyer.
